What inspired you to start Gentle Hands and Personal Home Care?
My journey began with many years working as a nursing assistant in a nursing home, where I had the privilege of caring for individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments. Over time, I realized that while medical needs were being met, what people often needed most was something deeper—gentleness, patience, familiarity, and the feeling of being truly seen.
I found myself holding conversations with residents who simply wanted more time, more warmth, and more human connection. I also watched families come in carrying worry in their eyes, hoping their loved one was not just cared for, but genuinely comforted. Those moments stayed with me long after my shifts ended.
That experience planted something in my heart—a desire to create a different kind of care environment. One that feels softer, more personal, and more like home. Gentle Hands and Personal Home Care was born from that vision: a place where care is not rushed or routine, but intentional, comforting, and rooted in genuine human connection.
The story behind Gentle Hands and Personal Home Care
Gentle Hands and Personal Home Care was created from witnessing the emotional journey families go through when trying to find trustworthy support for someone they love. I saw how often they were overwhelmed—not just by the practical side of care, but by the fear of choosing the wrong person to trust.
Families would share stories of calling multiple places, feeling uncertain, or settling for care that didn't fully bring them peace. At the same time, I saw how deeply they longed for something better—someone who would treat their loved one with patience, consistency, and sincere kindness.
Those experiences became the foundation of everything this agency stands for. I wanted to build something that would ease that burden, where families could feel confident, supported, and heard from the very first conversation.
At Gentle Hands and Personal Home Care, every detail was shaped with that intention—to bring comfort where there is worry, trust where there is uncertainty, and warmth where care is needed most. It is more than a service; it is a promise to show up with gentle hands, a kind heart, and unwavering respect for every person we serve.
